This was early Saturday morning while we were still laying in bed. He'd come in and woke me up and opened the blinds.

Jackson: Mommy the trees are awake
Me: How do you know, are they talking?
Jackson: No they aren't talking, trees can't talk!
Me: So how do you know?
Jackson: Pcause! (his version of Because)

He then crawled out of bed and the discussion ended.
